The Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manufacturers’ Association (RAMA) organized an Awareness Program on 13th August, 2010 in Delhi in continuation with Seminars organized at Chennai and Mumbai during July 2010.The Seminar discussed the methodology and policies related to HPMP preparation as well as technical options for replacement of HCFCs in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (RAC) equipment manufacturing. The Seminar was well attended by the stakeholders especially from RAC industry including small and medium enterprises engaged in manufacturing of RAC equipment.
The Ozone Cell, MoEF also organized in close cooperation with the Indian Polyurethane Association (IPUA) three HPMP – Awareness Seminars at Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai during the months of June/July, 2010. The main focus of the Seminar was to create awareness among the stakeholders for phase-out of HCFCs in foam manufacturing as per the accelerated phase-out schedule of the Montreal Protocol.The Seminar discussed in detail policies related to HPMP preparation and technical options for replacement of HCFCs as foam blowing agent.These Seminars were well attended by the stakeholders especially the foam manufacturing industry.
